Kids Northwest works with child care, Head Start/Early Head Start, ECEAP, OPK, local, state and national organizations to plan and implement high quality health and nutrition center and home-based programs.
 

 

Peggy King has 32 years of nursing experience including emergency department, HIV/AIDS research, maternal and child health, child care (both homes and centers), Head Start/Early Head Start, and state-funded Pre-K programs.

Peggy has extensive knowledge of best practice guidelines for children in group care; state licensing laws; Head Start/Early Head Start performance standards; state-funded Pre-K performance standards; best practice systems and services. She has spent 17 years working in both child care and Head Start/Early Head Start and state-funded Pre-K programs. She has consulted in programs large and small.

Peggy is an EHS Start-Up Planner, the current chair of the Washington State Coalition for Safety and Health in Early Learning. Previously, she was a Head Start program reviewer through Danya.

Peggy has expertise in safety for children in group care; nutrition for children in group care; efficient and comprehensive health services delivery in federal and state-funded birth-5 programs; and best practice guidelines for children in group care.

Peggy is an expert trainer with a track record of delivering high-quality, stimulating, content-rich trainings.
